Mechanic Engineer
The Engine Department of a cruise ship is part of the Marine Operations Division. The Engine Department team is primarily responsible for the safe and smooth operation of the ship's propulsion systems.
Electrical Engineer
Responsible for the proper maintenance and repairs of the electrical systems on board the cruise ship as directed by the Chief Electrical Engineer. The responsibility for maintenance and repairs of the ship's various electrical systems is distributed among the electricians according to their specific duties.
Repair and Maintenance
Motorman, Fitter, Oiler, Wiper/ Engine Utility Man, Plumber, Upholsterer, responsible for the daily maintenance and cleaning and assistance of specific engine parts as directed by the Chief Engineer.
